Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, said today that it targeted an “Apache” helicopter of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) with a 9K32 Strela-2 anti-aircraft surface-to-air missile (also known as SAM-7) north of Jabalia camp in the Strip.

On its official Telegram channel, it added that it targeted 15 “Israeli” soldiers in a fortified house using an anti-personnel “Ra’diya” explosive device. Afterwards, Al-Qassam fighters then stormed the house and finished off the “Israeli” force from point-blank range using light machine guns and hand grenades in the Al-Tanour neighborhood east of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip – according to the statement.

A “Merkava 4” tank was also targeted with an “Al-Yassin 105” anti-armor in the same neighborhood.

Al-Qassam also shelled the Rafah Border Crossing which was taken over “Israeli” forces around two weeks ago.
