Israeli Occupation assassinates Hezbollah official in southern Lebanon
Israeli Occupation Forces assassinated Hezbollah leader Hussein Khader Mahdi on Friday in a raid targeting a car in the Najariya area in Lebanon, according to a Roya correspondent.
The report indicated that Israeli Occupation warplanes conducted a series of simultaneous raids on the town of Al-Najariya in the Sidon district, near the oil facilities in Al-Zahrani.
This targeting represents an additional escalation by Israeli Occupation in an area outside the usual rules of engagement with Hezbollah, deep within Lebanon.
Tensions have been high in southern Lebanon between Israeli Occupation Forces and Hezbollah since the start of Operation Aqsa Typhoon on October 7, which was launched by the Al-Qassam Brigades in response to escalating Israeli Occupation violations in the West Bank.
