Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the extremists who entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday.

They raised the flag of the Israeli Occupation within its premises, protected by Israeli Occupation Forces.

This action, along with preventing worshippers from entering the mosque, is a clear violation of international law and the historical status of Jerusalem and its sacred places.

The Ministry's spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, emphasized that the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif, covering an area of 144 dunams, is a sacred site for Muslims.

Israeli Occupation has no authority over it or over East Jerusalem, which is occupied territory, including its Islamic and Christian holy sites, the statement added.

He urged Israeli Occupation, as the occupying power, to cease all actions and violations against the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and to respect its sacredness.

Ambassador Al-Qudah reiterated that the Jerusalem Endowments Administration, under the Jordanian Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Sanctities, is solely responsible for managing the affairs of the entire Al-Aqsa Mosque.
