Palestinian Authority thwarts alleged Daesh operation against its headquarters in West Bank

An armed force in the town of Siris in the northern West Bank, which pledged allegiance to Daesh, was neutralized by a joint Palestinian security operation.

It was reported that the Palestinian security services discovered mortar shells, a small tunnel, a powder keg, and a car bomb intended for detonation during the operation. The cell was reportedly planning to target Palestinian security headquarters in the West Bank.

While carrying out the operation, the security services detonated an explosive device, causing only material damage.
