VIDEO: Israeli Occupation ministers face public backlash at real estate conference
Israeli Occupation Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, and the Minister of Transport, Miri Regev, were compelled to leave a real estate conference in Eilat due to audience jeers over their perceived failure to address the economic downturn, particularly in Eilat, which faces an unparalleled recession, according to Hebrew media.
The closure of its port due to Houthi attacks in the Red Sea exacerbated the situation.
The audience expressed their dissatisfaction during Minister Regev's speech, to which she responded defiantly: "This will not help you," reported the Hebrew channel Kan.
Later, Smotrich took to Facebook, alleging that the incident was orchestrated by amateur media in Tel Aviv. He lamented the significant disparity between reality and its portrayal in the media, labeling the dissenting attendees as "a small but vocal minority."
