Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, on Wednesday, held a meeting in her office with Inger Ashing, the CEO of Save the Children International.

During the meeting, Ashing provided an overview of the dire conditions faced by children in Gaza, including the violence and harm they endure.

Discussions focused on strategies to alleviate the impact of the ongoing aggression, which is causing immense suffering for children. There was a call for increased international support to facilitate aid delivery to Gaza, alongside a strong insistence on the urgent need for a lasting ceasefire.

The meeting, which was also attended by Strategic Policy Advisor Anita Pai, emphasized the importance of opening additional land crossings to enhance the flow of humanitarian assistance.

Save the Children advocates for an immediate and lasting ceasefire to safeguard the lives of children in Gaza and to ensure the resumption of essential supplies, crucial for addressing child hunger.
