American, “Israeli” officials to discuss Rafah offensive early next week

The White House stated that the Biden administration is deeply concerned about the United Nations report indicating an “imminent famine” in the Gaza Strip.

It added that the “Israeli-American” meeting regarding the potential attack on the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip may take place early next week.

The White House affirmed that it will continue to press for a prisoner exchange deal that allows for more aid to be brought into the Strip.

Residents of the Gaza Strip, especially those in the border cities, are suffering from a shortage of food and medical supplies due to the occupation's prevention of aid from entering the Strip.
