The Director of Education in the Petra District, Dr. Imad Al-Safsafeh, has decided to suspend classes in Petra District schools for today, Tuesday, due to inclement weather conditions, prioritizing the safety of students.

Arabia Weather website said that Jordan will continue to experience the effects of a second-degree depression on Tuesday, resulting in a significant drop in temperatures. The weather is expected to be cold, cloudy, and rainy across various regions, with varying intensities.

Arabia Weather reported that satellite imagery indicates the ongoing influx of rain clouds towards Jordan on Tuesday, bringing heavy rainfall accompanied by lightning, thunder, and at times, hail showers. These conditions are particularly expected in parts of the north, center, and south of the Kingdom, especially in the western areas.

Additionally, it highlighted that westerly winds are forecasted to be active, with strong to severe gusts throughout the day. Wind speeds may exceed 80 km/hour, particularly in desert regions, and may lead to sandstorms affecting desert areas, roads, and border crossings.
