EU foreign policy chief condemns Tel Aviv for causing famine in Gaza

European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell condemned Tel Aviv's actions in Gaza, accusing them of deliberately causing famine in the region and using starvation as a tool of warfare.

Speaking at a conference on humanitarian aid to Gaza in Brussels, Borrell stated, "We are no longer on the brink of famine in Gaza. We are in a state of famine where thousands suffer, and we cannot remain indifferent while Palestinians starve."

He emphasized, "This is unacceptable. Famine is being weaponized," while placing the blame on Tel Aviv.

Borrell highlighted the chaotic situation in Gaza, where residents are faced with the grim choice of leaving or resorting to violence. He attributed the famine to those obstructing aid entry into Gaza and controlling its borders.

Furthermore, Borrell revealed that the European Union was providing air support while aid remained stranded at the border, merely an hour away from where the air assistance was dispatched.
