JHCO sends 40 tons of medical aid to Gaza

The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), with support from the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), dispatched two aircraft carrying medical supplies to the Gaza Strip.

The planes were sent in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and in cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces -Arab Army, to deliver their cargo through the Rafah Border Crossing in Egypt.

The two aircraft carried over 40 tons of medical parcels intended for distribution among women in the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, the JHCO’s Secretary-General, stated in a press release received by "Roya" that the organization collaborates with various UN agencies, each according to its specialization, to serve our people in Gaza.

The total number of aircraft sent through the airlift to the people in Gaza has reached 60, including 15 airdrop operations, in addition to the land bridge through which 380 trucks were dispatched.
