'Tel Aviv engaged in ethnic cleansing within Palestinian territories,' says Egyptian legal team

The Egyptian legal team stated in its argument before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Wednesday that Palestinians have been subjected to displacement and collective punishment for 75 years.

They emphasized that the Israeli Occupation's unlawful annexation of Palestinian territories and its colonial system in Palestine are clear violations of international law, citing the United Nations Charter's prohibition of using force in such a manner.

Furthermore, they condemned Tel Aviv's actions in the Gaza Strip, stating that they constitute a violation of all international laws, with Resolution 471 underscoring the imperative to end the Israeli Occupation in Palestinian territories.

The legal team underscored Tel Aviv's engagement in ethnic cleansing within Palestinian territories, asserting that the Israeli Occupation violates the Palestinians' right to self-determination.

They pointed out that Tel Aviv restricts Palestinians' access to holy sites and their movement between their lands, in contravention of territorial sovereignty principles.

The Egyptian legal team condemned the Israeli Occupation army's racial discrimination against Palestinians, affirming Tel Aviv's responsibility to cease racially discriminatory policies and ensure security in the occupied territories.

The ICJ continues its deliberations on the Israeli Occupation of Palestinian territories, aiming to issue a non-binding advisory opinion.

Last Monday, the ICJ commenced hearings on the Israeli Occupation of Palestinian territories, listening to arguments from Palestine and lawyers representing various countries.
