In the upcoming days, Amman will host a ministerial gathering comprising interior ministers from Jordan, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon.

Their primary agenda revolves around addressing the escalating drug crisis, devising strategies for its combat, and bolstering collaboration within this context.

According to Tariq Al-Majali, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, the meeting aims to tackle the pressing issue of drug abuse and trafficking while fostering mutual cooperation to confront the shared challenges threatening regional societies. The proliferation of drug-related issues poses a significant threat to societal stability in the region.

Al-Majali further noted that the discussions will center on reinforcing security cooperation to safeguard the paramount national interests of the involved countries.
