Government is committed to supporting Student Support Fund, says Al-Khasawneh

Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh extended his gratitude to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the members of the House, as well as the parliamentary financial committee, for their significant efforts following their approval of the 2024 General Budget Law.

Al-Khasawneh also praised the discussions and remarks made by members of the Lower HOuse, whether critical or supportive of the proposed bill.

He emphasized that the government will diligently work to implement the recommendations presented by the parliamentary financial committee, based on the partnership in serving the nation between the Cabinet and the Parliament, and to achieve the essence of many of these recommendations.

"The government will continue its approach of committing only to what it can accomplish," he added.

Regarding the remarks of some members of the Parliament regarding the University Student Support Fund, Al-Khasawneh affirmed that the government is committed to introduce legislation based on directing support to students in need.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the teams of the Ministry of Finance, the Income and Sales Tax Department, and Customs, along with everyone involved in preparing, approving, and monitoring the stages of the budget bill approval. He also acknowledged the efforts of journalists and the media for their coverage and follow-up on the budget discussion sessions.
