Iran has executed, by hanging, four individuals who were accused of collaborating with “Israeli intelligence” to sabotage a site for the Iranian Defense Ministry, as reported by the news agency affiliated with the judiciary in the Islamic Republic - cited by AFP.

According to "Mizan Online," the four suspects were arrested on July 23, 2022, while planning an operation against an Isfahan-based factory, on behalf of theMossad.

The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence announced the "disruption of a network of agents of the Zionist espionage organization, and its members were apprehended."

They were sentenced to death in September 2023.

Iranian state media added that Mossad recruited the four individuals "about a year and a half before the operation" and sent them to African countries to undergo "training courses at military centers in those countries." It noted that Mossad officers were present during those courses.
