Turkish Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç confirmed the initiation of an investigation into the attack on Santa Maria Church in Istanbul.

He pointed out that efforts are ongoing to identify the suspects and apprehend them.

The Turkish Ministry of Interior confirmed in a statement on Sunday that an armed attack occurred carried out by two masked individuals, resulting in the death of one person in the assault on the church in Sarıyer area.
