5.01 magnitude earthquake strikes Turkey

27/1/2024 10:50|Saturday, a 5.01 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey, following a 5.3 magnitude quake in eastern Turkey - as reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
The center added that it determined the depth of the earthquake to be at 10 kilometers.
Turkey is located in one of the world's most active earthquake zones, and experienced frequent quakes, with the deadliest one occurring in February 2023 - which resulted in the death of over 50,000 people, injuring tens of thousands, and causing significant losses in property and infrastructure.
