France affirms Palestinian right to sovereignty following Netanyahu's statements

French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné posted on his “X” account, formerly known as Twitter, saying that "Palestinians have the right to sovereignty and to establish a state, and France will remain faithful to its commitment to achieving this goal."

His remarks come following the statements of the Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he opposed the idea of Palestinian sovereignty in the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu said on Saturday that he will not relinquish full "Israeli" security control over all the lands west of the Jordan.
