United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, is expected to arrive in Tel Aviv on Monday evening to engage in discussions about the current developments in the Gaza Strip.

During his visit to Qatar on Sunday, Blinken condemned the "unimaginable tragedy" amid the continued loss of thousands of Palestinian lives, warning of the possibility of an escalation.

He is scheduled to meet with officials in the Israeli Occupation starting Tuesday after visiting the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. This visit marks Blinken's fourth trip to the region since the launch of the Qassam Brigades' Operation Aqsa Typhoon on October 7.

In Qatar, Blinken stated that the 'ongoing conflict could easily spread,' causing great suffering, emphasizing the need to use influence to prevent the emergence of new fronts in the current war.

He pointed out that Qatar played a crucial role in negotiations for the release of detainees in Gaza, including Americans. The United States expressed gratitude for Qatar's ongoing efforts in releasing detainees from Gaza.

Blinken affirmed that the United Nations (UN) could play a decisive role in the return of Palestinians to their homes in northern Gaza. He stated that Washington rejects statements from officials in the Israeli Occupation government regarding the resettlement of Gaza residents.

Blinken considered the situation faced by Al Jazeera journalist Wael Al-Dahdouh a tragedy, and said he was unable to imagine the horror Dahdouh faced, not once but twice.

Blinken noted that Houthi attacks in the Red Sea disrupted over 20 percent of international shipments. He emphasized that Houthi attacks are causing damage globally, stressing that Washington will continue to defend maritime security in the region.
