Qatar's Emir stresses need for Gaza ceasefire in meeting with Blinken
Qatar's Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, emphasized the need for an immediate ceasefire and the protection of civilians in the Gaza Strip, during his meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Doha on Sunday, the Qatari Emir stressed the importance of working to ensure sufficient humanitarian aid is delivered to all areas of Gaza.
He also underscored the necessity of efforts to de-escalate the situation, aiming to guarantee stability and security in the region.
United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has arrived in Qatar earlier Sunday in continuation of his diplomatic tour of the Middle East - aimed to “de-escalate” the region amidst the ongoing Israeli Occupation aggression against the Gaza Strip.
Blinken will then visit the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the Israeli Occupation, the West Bank, and Egypt lastly on Jan. 11.
