The United States Geological Survey stated that a 4.1 magnitude earthquake hit Los Angeles, California, no damage or injuries were reported afterwards.

“A very light earthquake struck Culver City, Los Angeles County early yesterday, but it was enough to wake people up as 5,000 reported feeling it,” the Washington Times reported.

The survey added that the earthquake occurred 19 km off Rancho Palos Verdes, about 50 km from Los Angeles.
