A survey conducted by researchers from Harvard CAPS and polling company The Harris Poll revealed that a majority of young Americans support ending the Israeli occupation and handing control to Hamas and the Palestinians.

The survey indicated that 51 percent of Americans aged between 18 and 24 believe that the long-term solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is for "Israel to be ended and given to Hamas and the Palestinians."

Meanwhile, 32 percent of the same age bracket believe in the two-state solution, and the rest, 17 percent, think that Arab countries should “absorb the Palestinians.”

However, support for “Israeli to be ended” dropped dramatically in the upper age brackets, with only 4 percent of Americans aged over 65 supporting such a solution.

Support for a two-state solution also increases significantly in the upper age brackets; with 60 percent of Americans aged 45-54; 67 percent aged 55-64; and 71 percent aged 65+ all support doing so.

Recently, there has been a noticeable increase in international solidarity with the Palestinian cause, especially among younger generations, particularly in the United States; such support comes as the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continue their aggression with a mounting civilian death toll in the Gaza Strip for the 72nd consecutive day.

The resulting death toll from the aggression has reached over 18,800, with more than 50,897 injured - majority being women and children.
