The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health for Primary Care and Epidemics, Dr. Raed Al-Shbool, stated that there are no cases of the new COVID-19 variant, JN.1 in Jordan.
Al-Shbool confirmed the absence of the new coronavirus variant in Jordan after conducting the Genomic Surveillance of the JN.1 variant.
This comes amid concerns in Jordan about COVID-19 and its variants. Abdullah Ababneh, the director of the National Center for Human Resources Development, emphasized that the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the global assessment results of students. Several factors related to students, teachers, curriculum, school management, and home have contributed to the decline in student performance.
