United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported that the Israeli Occupation army has designated a new area, covering approximately 20 percent of the central and southern parts of Khan Yunis city, for immediate evacuation.

In its daily update, the office mentioned that the occupation delineated this area on an electronic map shared on social media the previous Wednesday.

Prior to October 7, this area was home to around 111,542 Palestinians, including several shelter centers that housed approximately 141,451 displaced individuals, the majority of whom were previously forced to relocate from the north.

The office noted that the instructions accompanying the map urge Palestinians to relocate promptly to shelters in the southern parts of Khan Yunis, specifically in the Al-Shaboura, Tal Al-Sultan, and Al-Zuhur neighborhoods in the already densely populated Rafah Governorate.

Despite challenges such as frequent communication outages and a lack of electricity hindering access to information and electronic maps, the United Nations emphasized in its daily report that the extent of displacement resulting from the evacuation order remains uncertain.

Regarding the precise number of displaced people, the office acknowledged the difficulty in obtaining an accurate figure for the total displaced population.
