Jordan seals first place in EuroMed Stamps Competition 2023

The Union of Euro-Mediterranean Postal Services announced Jordan's victory in the 2023 edition of “most beautiful stamp 2023”, with the Jerash stamp securing first place in the competition.

According to a statement from the Jordan Post Company (JPC), the voting process started on September 7 until November 28. The Jordanian postage stamp, titled "Mediterranean Festivals," achieved the first place out of 23 participating countries from the member states of the Union of Euro-Mediterranean Postal Services.

“Jordan's participation reflects the importance of Jordan's presence in the postal union's competitions and activities. The issuance of this stamp reflects the interest in the festivals of the Euro-Mediterranean region, and emphasizes the desire to shed light on the dissemination of Jordanian culture through these seasonal festivals that celebrate local, Arab, and human creativity.

“It also emphasizes the importance of cultural diversity, ensuring its continuity, and enhancing it with new aspects of culture, art, and thought.

“Participation in the issuance of joint stamps in the union and stamp exhibitions contributes to spreading the value and heritage of the Jordanian stamp, introducing it in a unique way to the world.”
