The Palestinian General Administration for Crossings and Borders announced Tuesday the approval for the entry of Palestinian olive oil into Jordan.

In a post on Facebook, the administration stated that Jordan permitted the entry of Palestinian olive oil through the Al-Karama crossing, starting Tuesday (Dec. 12) until Feb. 28, 2024.

The announcement clarified that Jordan allowed the entry of olive oil in the form of two tin cans (16 liters) per family and for one-time use only.

The administration urged compliance with the provided instructions.

In a related context, Lawrence Majali, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Agriculture, stated that the ministry is conducting inspection campaigns on olive oil presses to ensure their integrity and the absence of fraudulent practices.

He pointed out that pages promoting the sale of oil on social media platforms are being monitored.
