In the culmination of the 23rd National Olive Festival and Rural Products Exhibition, Nizar Haddad, the Director-General of the National Center for Agricultural Research, announced that the total sales during the festival reached JD2.8 million.

The event featured 890 participants, including around 70 suppliers from olive presses and farmers.

The sales volume during the festival amounted to 174 tons of olive oil, ensuring the provision of shoppers' needs for oil, thanks to the efforts of the General Union of Olive Press and Farmer Owners.

The entire space allocated for 800 participants was fully utilized, but due to overwhelming interest, the number of participants reached nearly 890, prompting the inclusion of waitlisted participants.

Haddad highlighted that this event plays a significant role in achieving sustainable development goals by supporting small farms, rural families and small to medium-sized companies in the food manufacturing sector.

Organized on an area exceeding 11,000 square meters, with an additional 4,000 square meters used for displaying handicrafts, workshops and training sessions, the festival showcased modern technologies.

This included the use of robots for sanitization and welcoming visitors, along with awareness campaigns and training courses for agriculture and media students, as well as individuals with disabilities.
