One of the Palestinian detainees who was released Friday morning shared a distressing account of the mistreatment they endured during their detainment in Beit Lahiya, as reported by the Quds News Network.
The freed detainee was among the dozens of individuals pictured while being held by the Israeli Occupation Forces; these images went viral on social media Thursday.
The detainee reported:
The IOF subjected them to degrading treatment, including being stripped naked during their arrest in the northern Gaza Strip.
After their arrest, they were loaded onto trucks, and their eyes were blindfolded. Subsequently, they were taken to the seashore.
Stripped of their clothes, they were left exposed to the cold until midnight, tightly bound without the ability to move.
Following this ordeal, some were ordered to return home, while others remained in detention.
Shockingly, upon their return on foot, still naked, they discovered that many of the homes they had left had been burned and looted.
This firsthand account sheds light on the disturbing and dehumanizing treatment faced by Palestinian detainees in the hands of IOF, raising concerns about the violation of human rights and the need for international attention on such incidents.
