The freed Palestinian prisoner, Marah Bakir, spoke about the moment she was informed of her release from Israeli Occupation prisons as part of the prisoner exchange deal.

Bakir told a correspondent from Roya in Jerusalem that she was informed of her release Friday and could not believe it due to overwhelming joy.

She mentioned that the release procedures started at 8 am, emphasizing that the release procedures were not easy at all.

Bakir added that she had been in solitary confinement since Oct. 7, highlighting that female prisoners suffer from very poor health conditions.

Bakir confirmed that she missed Jerusalem and is very happy to be released.

She stated that she spent eight years in Israeli Occupation prisons and endured neglect during that time.
