'Israeli army' withdrew from Shifa Hospital, deployed around complex

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) withdrew from Al-Shifa Hospital and deployed around the complex, according to AFP Wednesday evening.

Earlier Wednesday, the IOF stormed Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza amid intense shelling and fierce clashes in its vicinity, accompanied by the extensive use of illumination bombs.

The director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Mohammed Abu Salameh, stated that the surroundings of the medical complex are currently facing intense and severe shelling, according to Al Jazeera.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that the IOF was taking cover in the lower floors of Al-Shifa Complex, using medical staff and displaced individuals as human shields.

The ministry added that the narrative promoted by the US administration and the Israeli Occupation government regarding the use of Al-Shifa Medical Complex is aimed at covering up the war crimes committed by the IOF inside the hospital.

The Israeli Occupation continues its devastating aggression on Gaza for the 40th consecutive day, targeting hospitals in the strip amid the complete blockade and a lack of essential living conditions, including the prohibition of fuel entry.
