Sources briefed Reuters on a meeting regarding a potential hostage and ceasefire deal in Gaza on Thursday in the Qatari capital, Doha, according to Reuters.

Mossad chief David Barnea, CIA Director William Burns, and Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani took part in the meeting after Qatari mediators met Hamas officials on Wednesday night where a potential hostage exchange deal was considered.

Sources told Reuters the meeting's goal is to speed up the process of an exchange deal.

It also discussed a potential humanitarian truce to allow fuel to enter Gaza but was rejected by the Israeli Occupation over fears Hamas could divert the supply for fighting purposes.

The potential deal would include the release of 10-15 hostages in exchange for a humanitarian truce of two days.

The Amiri Diwan of the State of Qatar announced Sheikh Tamim arrived in the UAE accompanied the Qatari PM later on Thursday to meet with Emirati president Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
