A 15-year-old Palestinian boy was killed Thursday after being shot by ‘Israeli’ forces during a raid on the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to a Roya correspondent.
Medical sources at Nablus Specialized Hospital said the minor, identified as Yousef Sameh Ishtayeh from the village of Tal, arrived in critical condition after being struck by live ammunition in the chest.
Despite intensive efforts by medical teams to save him, he later died from his injuries.
Details of the incident
The shooting occurred during an ‘Israeli’ military incursion into several neighborhoods of Nablus, where multiple military vehicles were deployed, sparking confrontations with local residents.
Witnesses said soldiers fired live ammunition directly before withdrawing from the area, injuring the teen.
Rising tensions in the West Bank
The incident comes amid a noticeable escalation in military raids carried out by ‘Israeli’ forces across cities and towns in the occupied West Bank.
Such operations frequently result in civilian casualties, particularly among children and teenagers, alongside tightened military measures at checkpoints surrounding Nablus.
