In a recent interview discussing the events in the Palestinian territories and the ongoing aggression in the Gaza Strip, Egyptian comedian Bassem Youssef got into a heated conversation on "Piers Morgan Uncensored" that went viral on social media.

During the interview, Youssef impersonated a settler addressing the Israeli Occupation Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. He recounted an interview with Danny Ayalon, a former Israeli Occupation advisor and ambassador to the United States, who suggested that Palestinians should temporarily relocate to the vast land of Sinai, living in temporary camp cities while Gaza was being rebuilt, with the promise of a return later.

Youssef's used the Egyptian phrase of "Aha" as his way of expressing disagreement and skepticism, implying that history had already shown the impact of such displacement. The term was meant to remind viewers of the long-standing Palestinian Nakba, symbolizing the displacement of Palestinians from their homeland and their enduring hope for a return, spanning over 75 years.

He passionately expressed the desperation and disgust felt by Palestinians regarding Israeli Occupation's response to the events of October 7.

Youssef criticized both Hamas and the desensitization that has seemingly led people to accept civilian casualties as an inevitability of war.

He raised a critical question about what constitutes a "proportionate response" to such a tragic event.
