Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned Wednesday the terrorist attack that targeted a unit of the defense and security forces in northwest Tillabéri, Republic of Niger.

This heinous act resulted in the tragic loss of 29 soldiers and left many others injured.

Ambassador Sufyan Al-Qudah, the spokesperson for the Ministry, emphasized Jordan's unwavering stance against all forms of violence and terrorism.

He expressed profound condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the government and people of Niger, as well as to the families of the victims. Additionally, he extended his wishes for a swift recovery for the injured.

Earlier this week, Niger's Ministry of Defense reported one of the most brutal attacks in the country since the coup in late July. The ministry's statement revealed that over 100 terrorists executed the assault in the northwest region, employing explosive devices and suicide vehicles. In response, the Nigerian government declared three days of national mourning to honor the victims of this tragic attack.
