In a devastating incident, a woman in her thirties lost her life in her family home in the southern Jordan Valley area Monday. The assailant, identified as her brother, fired a total of 15 shots into her body.

According to a source close to the investigation, the victim had previously been placed in a safe house due to suspicions surrounding the birth of an illegitimate child.

The infant's body was discovered near Karak Castle in March, prompting her administrative arrest.

The source revealed that the victim's brother, who has since been apprehended, brought a firearm into the house.

Upon her return, released under a pledge from the administrative governor, he tragically ambushed her, firing the fatal shots.

Despite prior assurances from the family that the victim would be safe from harm, her brother arrived at the residence two hours after her return and carried out the tragic act.

The Prosecutor General of the Southern Jordan Valley has ordered the body to be transferred to forensic medicine in the Southern Region for a thorough autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
