In response to the tragic killing of a young Palestinian in al-Bireh by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), a widespread protest unfolded Saturday.

Fatah's call for a general strike in Ramallah and al-Bireh led to closed shops, shuttered businesses and students staying home.

Additionally, Fatah urged demonstrations at the contact points with the IOF in both neighboring cities.

The martyr, Mohammad Jibril Rummaneh, lost his life, and another passenger was injured when the IOF opened fire at their car in al-Bireh.

Subsequently, both individuals were taken into custody by the IOF.

The Red Crescent reported that the IOF forbade its ambulances from providing essential aid to the victims immediately after the shooting.

Initially in critical condition, Rummaneh succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
