The State Security Court (SSC) will hold Wednesday its first session to consider the charges against the dismissed member of Parliament (MP) Imad Al-Adwan. The charges were filed by the Public Prosecutor of the SSC leading to his trial before the court.

The Public Prosecutor referred the case to the court, initiating the trial of Adwan on the following charges:

- Exporting firearms with the intent of unlawful use.
- Selling firearms with the intent of unlawful use.
- Attempting to export firearms with the intent of unlawful use.
- Engaging in activities that disrupt public order and endanger the safety of society and its security.

On April 23, 2023, Hebrew media reported a Jordanian Member of Parliament has been detained after attempts to smuggle a large number of weapons through the Allenby Bridge into the occupied West Bank.
