Jordanian Ambassador to Romania Sufian Qudah has affirmed that no Jordanians were harmed in the explosion that occurred at a liquefied petroleum gas station in Bucharest.

The incident led to the unfortunate loss of one individual's life, while 46 others sustained injuries due to the dual explosions, as reported by Romanian authorities.

Qudah conveyed his heartfelt condolences and solidarity to the Romanian Republic, extending wishes for a quick recovery of the injured.

The Romanian government disclosed that among those injured, 26 were firefighters who sustained injuries during their prompt response at the liquefied gas station site in Crevidia, situated to the north of the capital.

Medical authorities indicated that a minimum of eight among the injured suffered from critical burns.

Taking to Facebook, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis conveyed his sorrow regarding the "tragedy" and called for a comprehensive investigation.
