The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) of the Public Security Directorate (PSD) destroyed quantities of narcotics that were seized in 1,045 cases whose verdicts were final, ranging from trafficking to possession and smuggling.

According to the AND's statement, the quantities destroyed included 1,000 kilograms of hashish, 75 grams of heroin, 80 kilograms of marijuana, one kilogram of industrial hemp, and 12.5 million captagon pills, 57,000 other narcotic pills, 1,500 kilograms of crystal meth, and 4,500 kilograms of Joker powder.

The Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department Hassan Al-Qudah announced that they established a specialized committee aimed at the destruction of substantial amounts of narcotics.

Qudah explained that the process involves the use of specialized furnaces engineered to reach temperatures of up to 1,000 degrees Celsius.

This concerted endeavor to eliminate substantial amounts of narcotic substances underscores the commitment of Jordan's authorities to combat the influence of narcotics within the country.

This comes following the orders of the Director of Public Security Obaidullah Al-Maaytah.

Qudah noted that the successful operation was the result of the joint efforts of the Jordanian Armed Forces / Arab Army, the Jordanian Customs Administration, and various other security agencies.
