The US would "under no circumstances" commit to climate reparations, White House climate envoy John Kerry testified Thursday before the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s oversight and accountability subcommittee.

Secretary Kerry was answering Chairman Mast’s question regarding whether the United States would commit to climate reparations.

He did not, however, rule out US payments into a loss and damage fund that the US agreed to at COP27.
