The Jordanian Olympic Committee (JOC) announced that the national team won four more medals Thursday, bringing the total number of medals so far to 11.

These include two gold medals, four silver medals and five bronze medals.

Thursday, the team added one silver medal and three bronze medals.

Abdullah Miqdad (under 90 kg category) won a Judo match against the Iraqi athlete Shihab al-Quraishi in the quarter-finals and in then lost in the semi-finals to the Algerian athlete Osama Kabri. Miqdad won the bronze medal in a match against the Libyan athlete Mohamed Al-Lafi.

Hussein Ayal Salman (over 100 kg category) won the bronze medal in a match against the Emirati athlete Abdul Rahman Mansour.

As for swimming, athlete Amr Al-Wer won a bronze medal in the 200-meter medley race and athlete Ziad Al-Salous won a silver medal in the 100-meter butterfly race.

The Arab Games is ongoing until July 15 in five different cities with 3,800 participating athletes in 22 sports including football, badminton, basketball, boxing, bowling, gymnastics, chess, cycling, handball, volleyball, judo, karate, swimming, weightlifting and wrestling.
