Vice President of the Jordan Hotels Association Hussein Hilalat said local hotel occupancy rates witnessed a significant improvement compared to last year and described the numbers as 'excellent.'

He told Roya that the hotel occupancy rate in Aqaba reached 82 percent for four-star hotels and 80 percent for five-star hotels.

Hilalat added that the hotel occupancy rate reached 34 percent in Petra, 62 percent in Amman and 69 percent in the Dead Sea.

He predicted an increase in the hotel occupancy rate during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
