Sunday, several regions across the Kingdom witnessed heavy rain and flooding, as a result of the current weather instability, accompanied by thunderstorms and dust.

Flooding led to several road closures and traffic interruptions including in the Swaqa area, according to a Public Security Directorate (PSD).

The PSD earlier issued warnings due to the weather conditions, particularly the ongoing atmospheric instability in various parts of the Kingdom, including the southern and southeastern regions.

The state of atmospheric instability permeates rains and winds carrying dust and dirt, in separate parts of Jordan, especially the southern and southeastern regions.

The statement stressed the need to move away from the low-lying areas and valleys, at risk of flooding.

It also called on citizens and residents to drive with caution due to limited visibility and flooding.

People who suffer from respiratory diseases, asthma and allergies were advised to were facemasks and avoid going outdoors.
