Jordanian MP Adwan to appear before Israeli Occupation Court Thursday

Roya's correspondent in Palestine reported that the Ofer Military Court of the Israeli Occupation will hold a hearing on Thursday afternoon, to consider the case of the arrest of Jordanian MP Imad Al-Adwan following the alleged smuggling incident which was announced by the Israeli Occupation authorities last Sunday.

One of Adwan’s attorneys, Ismail Al-Taweel, said that the court will hold a session on Thursday at 2:30 pm to consider the defense team’s request to appeal against the prosecution’s request to extend the detention of MP Adwan for an additional 15 days.

Taweel told Roya that the Israeli Occupation authorities have so far refused to allow any member of the defense team to meet MP Adwan since the first day of his arrest.

Earlier Tuesday, the Jordanian ambassador to Tel Aviv, Ghassan Al-Majali, accompanied by the consul at the embassy, visited MP Imad Al-Adwan.
