Wednesday, Jordanian citizens expressed their frustration with the increasing prices of some fruits and vegetables.

According to the Greater Amman Municipality, the Fruits and Vegetables Central Wholesale Market received a total of 2,452.537 tons of fresh produce including 1,886.096 tons of vegetables, 372.614 tons of fruits, and 193.827 tons of leafy greens.

According to the market's latest price list (per kilogram):

• Bellpeppers: 100-120 piasters
• Eggplants: 25-40 piasters
• Dry onions: 30-40 piasters
• Potatoes: 30-40 piasters
• Tomatoes: 10-25 piasters
• Carrots: 25-40 piasters
• Cucumbers: 35-50 piasters
• Lemons: 60-100 piasters
• Bananas: 70-110 piasters
