Sunday, the prices of some fruits and vegetables have stabilized, according to the Fruits and Vegetables Central Wholesale Market.

This comes after the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply launched inspection campaigns and tightened control on fresh produce shops across the Kingdom to ensure compliance with the fixed pricing.

According to the Greater Amman Municipality, the market received a total of 3,404.724 tons of fresh produce including 2,644.806 tons of vegetables, 502.237 tons of fruits and 257.681 tons of leafy greens.

According to the market's latest price list (per kilogram):

• Eggplants: 30-50 piasters
• Dry onions: 35-50 piasters
• Potatoes: 30-40 piasters
• Tomatoes: 20-35 piasters
• Cucumbers: 25-40 piasters
• Lemons: 70-100 piasters
• Carrots: 30-50 piasters
• Bananas: 65-100
• Watermelons: 60-80
