Jordanians expressed their frustration regarding the continuous rise in vegetable prices.

The issue is not limited to Amman but has also been reported in other governorates across the Kingdom.

Citizens in Irbid have reported that most staple items on their breakfast tables have significantly increased in price.

The price of one kilogram of cucumbers stands at JD 1.25 and a kilogram of tomatoes at 55 piasters.

After Roya's correspondent investigated the issue, he confirmed that prices vary from one place to another, and in some cases, prices are different in stores right next to each other.

Citizens have contacted the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply and other concerned authorities to request inspections, claiming vegetable prices are being 'manipulated.'
