Wednesday will be first day of month of Sha'ban

The Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, Sheikh Abdul Karim Al-Khasawneh, announced that Tuesday, Feb. 21, will be the last day of the month of Rajab for the year 1444 AH, and accordingly, Wednesday will be the beginning of the month of Sha’ban for the year 1444 AH.

Astronomically, Ramadan is expected to begin Thursday (March 23), provided that the crescent of the holy month will be sighted after sunset Tuesday, Shaaban 29 1444 AH, corresponding to March 21, 2023.

According to astronomical predictions, the moon will set before the sun in all countries of the region, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, and Egypt, making it almost impossible to see.
