Has Jordan changed the COVID isolation period? Health Ministry answers

The isolation period for those who contract the coronavirus in Jordan remains five days, the Director of Communicable Diseases at the Ministry of Health Mohammed Al-Hawarat said Monday.

He told Roya that the isolation period depends on the health condition of the infected, indicating that some cases need more than the five days set by the Health Ministry.

The Ministry of Labor stressed that the decision to increase the COVID isolation period comes from the Ministry of Health.

Notably, Jordan has recorded around 14,000 deaths and nearly two million cases of coronavirus since the start of the pandemic.
