Eight Israeli Occupation settlers were killed and others were injured in a shooting attack in the Nabi Yaqoub settlement in occupied Jerusalem, according to Roya's correspondent.

The injured are in critical condition.

Palestinians from the area closed the main street leading to the site of the operation to prevent police from reaching the site.

For its part, the Israeli Occupation police said that the attack was carried out by one person, who arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire.

Israeli Occupation police added that a search is underway for others who might have participated in the operation.

This comes a day after 10 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in Jenin.

Earlier Friday, Palestinians protested in the Al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem after one of the deadliest Israeli Occupation raids in the occupied West Bank in years.
