The Amman Criminal Court Tuesday sentenced a street vendor to four years in prison for stealing vehicle mirrors.

The head of the court, Judge Attia Al-Saud, made the decision based on the provisions of Article 407/2 of the Penal Code.

According to the court, the defendant has a criminal record including 14 cases involving theft of vehicle mirrors.

The four-year sentence and related punishment was based on the provision of Article 72 of the Penal Code, given the gravity of the crimes, the danger they expose society to and the fact that the accused has a criminal record.
